Gatwick Airport (IATA: LGW; ICAO: EGKK), named as Gatwick International Airport, is the main international airport serving London, in south-east England. Concretely, it is located in Crawley, about 45 km away from London city centre. A bus ride from Gatwick Airport to London city centre should take around 30 minutes.

Gatwick Airport is connected with more than 100 towns and cities in United Kingdom through bus and coach services. Several of them work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are local buses going to towns and villages near LGW Airport like: Heathrow, central London, Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge or Norwich. But also there is the Airport Transfer Service buses dropping off and picking up from local hotels to the airport Terminals.

Bus stops

Most of the bus services are operated from the lower South Terminal forecourt. Some also depart from the North Terminal (on the lower level outside international arrivals). Local buses depart from stops on the A23. 


There are National Express ticket desks in the North and South Terminals. Tickets for most other services can be booked in advance with the coach operator or bought on board.

Wheelchair access

Almost all coach services operated by National Express are wheelchair accessible. Step-free access to the coach is provided by a passenger lift in the main door of the vehicle. Customers can either travel in their wheelchair or transfer to a seat and put the wheelchair in the hold. However, due to the large variety of wheelchairs people use, National Express asks that you book at least 36 hours before travel so they can check that your wheelchair is compatible.

Most services operate from the lower South Terminal forecourt but there are also some operating from the North Terminal (on the lower level outside international arrivals). Coach services from Gatwick


A low-cost frequent airport transfer service non-stop from London and Gatwick with prices from 2£. Buses depart every 15 minutes at peak times and run from 4:00h to 1:00h. EasyBus operates to and from North Terminal to Earls Court/West Brompton and London Victoria coach station in central London.

National Express services

The England’s largest coach provider, National Express serves 70 destinations direct from both Gatwick terminals and offers connections to 900 across its network.
